*Call to Worship
Leader: We gather in the name of the God who created us in love.
People: We come seeking the One who knows us and loves us still.
Leader: We gather remembering Christ, who welcomed all and gave his life for the world.
People: We come following the One who shows us divine love.
Leader: We gather trusting the Spirit who moves among us and sends us forth.
People: We come open to the One who transforms hearts.
Leader: Let us worship the God who is our hope and peace. Amen.

*Opening Hymn
320  The Church of Christ In Every Age  (Wareham)

*Corporate Confession (Unison)
Sovereign God, we confess that we are tempted
to make idols of earthly power and comfort,
choosing security over discipleship and
prosperity over compassion.
We have loved our abundance more than the care
for the widow, orphan, and stranger among us.
Forgive us when we trust more in our nation’s
strength than in your faithfulness.
Create in us clean hearts, O God, and renew in us
your Spirit of mercy and love, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen.

*Assurance of God’s Love

*Response  To Thee, Great One in Three

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
