Rev. Amanda Osenga

*Call to Worship
Leader: Come, beloved of God, enter this sacred space with open
hearts and expectant spirits.
People: We come, bringing our joys and our burdens,
our doubts and our faith.
Leader: God meets us here offering grace, speaking peace,
and stirring hope.
People: We come to worship the One who calls us by name
and renews our weary souls.

*Opening Hymn
673  Jesus, Light of Joy  (Lauda Anima)

*Corporate Confession (Unison)
Merciful God,
we confess that we come burdened by worry,
distracted by noise, and weary from striving.
We forget your presence and doubt your promises. Forgive us.
Renew our hearts, restore our hope, and draw us near,
that we may rest in your grace.
Help us to live in your light, and follow your ways,
for the sake of Jesus the Christ. Amen.

*Assurance of God’s Love

*Response  To Thee, Great One in Three

*Passing of the Peace

LISTENING FOR GOD’S WORD

Word to the Children
When the music begins, children are invited to gather on the chancel steps as we sing, “This is where children belong, part of our family, part of our song. Be with us, pray with us, help us grow strong: this is where children belong.” Please note that this service is livestreamed and your child’s image may appear on the video.

Anthem
Jesus Help Me To Stand

Prayer for Illumination (Unison)
Lord, open our hearts and minds
By the power of your Holy Spirit,
That as the Scriptures are read
And your Word is proclaimed,
We may hear with joy
What you say to us today. Amen.

Response to Reading

RESPONDING TO GOD’S GRACE

Offering Ourselves and Our Gifts  Rev. Dr. Lorraine Leist, Associate Pastor
Making a financial gift makes Montview’s programs and ministries possible, including this worship service. You are invited to give generously at www.montview.org/giving or by texting a dollar amount to 720.452.6449. Offering boxes are stationed at the exit for cash and checks. We’re grateful for your support.

All are invited to sign and pass the Friendship Pad and greet each other by name.

*Prayer of Dedication (Unison)
God, you have so greatly loved us, long sought us, and mercifully redeemed us. Give us grace that in everything, we may yield ourselves, our wills and our works, a continual thank offering to you. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

*Response
607  Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow  (Doxology)
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise Christ, all people here below; Praise Holy Spirit evermore; Praise Triune God, whom we adore. Amen.

Prayers of the People and The Lord’s Prayer (Unison)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

*Closing Hymn

SENDING IN GOD’S LOVE

MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT: PASTORAL CARE MINISTRY
At Montview, our Pastoral Care Ministry offers compassionate support both from clergy and lay members through cards, phone calls, visits, food, extended communion, and our friendship ministry. A dedicated team meets regularly to hold those in need of care in prayer and discern how best to offer support. If you or someone you know would benefit from pastoral care, please reach out by emailing caring@montview.org or calling the church office (303-355-1651) and leaving a message in the general mailbox voicemail.
