*Call to Worship
Leader: Like many before us, we gather as God’s people.
People: May the lingering echo of saints resound in our songs.
Leader: May their stories open a space for the Spirit to enter us anew.
People: In remembering them, may we find ourselves re-membered.
Leader: May the God of every generation form us anew for this generation.
All: Surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us worship God.
*Gathering Hymn 645 Sing Praise to God Who Reigns Above, Verse 1

*Corporate Confession (Unison)
Holy and merciful God,
surrounded by the great cloud of witnesses,
we confess that we have sinned against you in
thought, word, and deed.
We have not loved you with our whole heart,
nor loved our neighbors as ourselves.
While the saints persevered in faith, we have faltered.
While they bore witness with courage, we have been silent.
While they served sacrificially, we have served ourselves.
Forgive us, renew us, and strengthen us to follow their example,
that we may one day join them in your eternal realm.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
*Assurance of God’s Love
*Response Gloria

THE SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER
Invitation to the Lord’s Table
Great Thanksgiving
Leader: The Lord be with you.
People: And also with you.
Leader: Lift up your hearts.
People: We lift them to the Lord.
Leader: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
People: It is right to give God thanks and praise.
Leader: It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks to you, Gracious God, creator of heaven and earth. You formed us in your image and breathed into us the breath of life. When we turned away, and our love failed, your love remained steadfast. You have been faithful to us through all generations and continue to speak to us today. We praise you for this table of love you spread in the world as a sign of your love for all people. And so, with your people on earth and all the company of heaven, we praise your name and join in their unending song.

Eucharistic Prayer
The Lord’s Prayer (Unison)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Words of Institution
Communion of the People
You are invited to come forward, offering your open palms to the communion server. Once you receive a piece of communion bread and juice, please bring them back to your seat in the pews. Bread at every station is gluten-free. The Presbyterian tradition does not include a specific rite for first Communion. Our parents decide when their children are ready to participate. If you’d like to receive communion in your pew, please signal to a server when they come down the aisle at the conclusion of communion.
Communion Music
Agnus Dei, from Requiem (11:00am)
Gabriel Fauré
*Prayer of Thanksgiving (Unison)
Gracious God, you have made us one with all your people in heaven and earth. You have fed us with the bread of life and renewed us for your service. Help us, who have shared Christ’s body and received his cup, to be faithful disciples, so that our daily living may reflect your presence among us, and our love be your love, reaching out into the world; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
*Recessional Hymn 326 For All the Saints, Verses 1-3 (Sine Nomine)
1 For all the saints who from their labors rest,
Who thee by faith before the world confessed,
Thy name, O Jesus, be forever blest.
2 Thou wast their rock, their fortress, and their might;
Thou, Lord, their captain in the well-fought fight;
Thou, in the darkness drear, their one true light.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
3 O blest communion, fellowship divine!
We feebly struggle; they in glory shine;
Yet all are one in thee, for all are thine.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

REMEMBRANCE OF SAINTS IN THE MONTVIEW GARDEN COLUMBARIUM
*Gathering of the People
Leader: Our help is in the name of the Lord.
People: Who made heaven and earth.
Leader: Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. If anyone believes in me, even though they die, they will live, and whosoever lives and believes in me will never die.
People: Thanks be to God!
*Scripture Lesson Romans 8:31-39
*Naming of the Saints
*A Litany of Thanksgiving
Leader: God of all mercy, creator and maker of all, we come before you this day. We are mortal, formed of earth, and to earth we shall return. Yet, we come in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life. We thank you for your loving care of those who have died. Blessed are those who die in the Lord. They rest from their labors and their works follow them.
People: Thanks be to God!
Leader: For the years of fulfillment, for the joys we have known, and for the memories that crowd our hearts; for the unexpected tribute, and the revealing of new beauty in those we have known before,
People: Thanks be to God!
Leader: For hearts that share our sadness and lives that share our empty spaces; for tears which heal and bring release, and which in your time you wipe away,
People: Thanks be to God!
Leader: For the courage which helps us carry on in a new adventure, confident of the nearness and understanding of those who have died,
People: Thanks be to God!
Leader: Above all, for the hope that you have given us through your Son Jesus Christ, that whether we live or whether we die, we belong to God,
People: Thanks be to God!
All: We, your people, who have passed through the valley of the shadow of death, fear no evil, for we live in you, now and forever. Increase in us the Communion of the Saints and the hope of the Risen life, now and forever. In the name of the One who is with us even to the end of time, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
