Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Introduction to Closing Hymn . . . . . . Theodore Wallenkamp
Our closing hymn is  L’chi Lach. It describes verses in the Book of Genesis in the Old Testament or Hebrew Scriptures of the Bible. Genesis 12:1-4

God told Abraham to go to a land that God would show him. God said Abraham would be a great nation, that his name would be great and that God would bless him. God said Abraham would be a blessing.

The Bel Canto Choir will sing the first verse.

Please stand and join us on the second verse.

Closing Hymn
L’chi Lach
Debbie Friedman (1951-2011)

First Verse:
L’chi lach, to a land that I will show you
Leich l’cha, to a place you do not know
L’chi lach, on your journey I will bless you
And you shall be a blessing,
You shall be a blessing,
You shall be a blessing,
L’chi lach

Second Verse:
L’chi lach, and I shall make your name great
Leich l’cha, and all shall praise your name
L’chi lach, to the place that I will show you
L’sim-chat cha-yim,
L’sim-chat cha-yim,
L’sim-chat cha-yim,
L’chi lach
And you shall be a blessing,
You shall be a blessing,
You shall be a blessing,
L’chi lach

Benediction . . . . . . Our Preschool Class

Recessional & Postlude

Your children are wonderful teachers. Each Sunday they share their unique perspectives on life and faith, relationships and challenges. We appreciate their clear and open-hearted views. Your children remind us to listen to the stories of our current experience and the ancient stories of our faith. They remind us to be curious and enthusiastic and that listening is truly an act of love. Thank you for sharing your children with us! We look forward to being with your family in the years ahead!

“People were bringing little children to him in order that he might touch them; and the disciples spoke sternly to them. But when Jesus saw this, he was indignant and said to them, ‘Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child, will never enter it.”  – Mark 10:13-16
