Presbyterian Session is the ruling body of the local church. At Montview, our Session is made up of the current Elders and Co-Pastors. The Elders are nominated and elected into their positions typically for three-year terms. At any given time, there are fifteen members of Session, consisting of twelve adult Elders, one youth Elder and two Co-Pastors. These members make pertinent decisions for the church, having both executive powers as a group and pastoral responsibility.

Montview Deacons follow the example of Jesus and love by serving, both in and beyond the faith community. It is a ministry of caring, love, compassion, prayer, and community service. Some key Deacon efforts include extended communion, fellowship events, cards of concern, chancel flowers and welcoming babies. Their efforts provide meaningful connective tissue within our congregation and transform the hearts of recipient and Deacon alike.

History

Since its congregants first met to worship in a cloth-ceilinged tabernacle in 1902, Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church has maintained a mission of community outreach that has positively influenced the neighborhood and city of Denver.
