Jillian Cheong is an emerging Singapore artist. She is inspired by nature, her faith, and her personal journey. She works in Symbolism to bring uniqueness to familiar subjects. Here she shows us her interpretation of pairing sunset, a liminal space of reflection and reverie at the end of a day lived well in love and connection or less well, with a title that moves us through the dark night to the wish for sunrise, a liminal space of hope and resolve to love and connect with God, ourselves and others in a fresh new day.

Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning,
for in you I put my trust.
Teach me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.
