Ben Corwyn, Associate Minister of Music/Organist

Ben Corwyn is the Associate Minister of Music/Organist at Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church. He joins Montview with a deep dedication to sacred music and extensive experience as a collaborative artist and organist.

Ben comes to Montview most recently from serving as an Organist at several churches, including St. Philips Lutheran Church (Littleton, CO) and Littleton United Methodist Church. In these roles, he provided comprehensive musical leadership, skillfully playing preludes, postludes, and special music while demonstrating a careful focus on congregational hymn leading. Ben believes that whenever he performs, music should be a blessing and draw the congregation closer to the Spirit’s presence.

Ben is an accomplished and versatile musician whose collaborative background enhances his work in the church. He earned a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Music in Theory/Composition from Dallas Baptist University.

This training has led to diverse performance credits, including accompanying major works on the organ such as Chichester PsalmsRequiem for the Living, and the Fauré Requiem, as well as accompanying various choirs and musicals, such as Mary Poppins, Pippin, Seven Last Words, Hairspray, Sunset Boulevard, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Old Maid and the Thief, and The Fantastiks. He has also performed with esteemed choral ensembles like Kantorei (CO) and the Kansas City Symphony Chorus. For his full time job, he currently serves in his newly appointed role as the Vocal Coach and Accompanist for Denver School of the Arts.

When Ben isn’t practicing for his various jobs, you will often find him playing volleyball, traveling the world, camping, composing, or trying out new recipes with his husband Josh, and his dog Buster.
